Hi Judy!!
My name is Nelia and I am a pupil in room 2 at Sunnyhills School in Auckland.
The reasons why I would like to win a Granny Goes to Hip Hop book is because I really like reading and I like to write poetry. But I'm the best at writing and I think that if I have your book I could get some ideas from it! :D No one in my family likes to write so I can't exactly ask them. Another reason is because my favourite thing to do in my spare time is read and dance, and dancing is part of your book Granny Goes to Hip Hop. :D
Thank you.

Hi Judi
I was wondering if I could have one of the copies of Granny Goes to Hip Hop because I have written a whole book of poetry that is about 40 pages long. Do you know a poet called Rae Varcoe? She is my Great Aunty. I go to Newtown School and I am a year 5 and I am in Waitangi Whanau.

And I really would love to have this book because, I only have one poetry book at home it's about cats, lol. I could get inspiration for my next story. And that would be awesome. And I also wanted to send you this poem:

Grey, misty
Striding alongside me
Where did you vanish?
As the sun disappeared

Hi Judi! I’m from Auckland and just wanted to say how heartwarming it is to see all the love coming from Sunnyhills School. Your poems clearly spark so much joy and confidence in young writers—what a gift! Do you have plans to visit more Auckland schools this year? I know plenty of students (and teachers!) who’d love to meet you. Keep spreading the poetry magic!
